"It was about nine years ago that I saw my first Miniature Mediterranean Donkey. I was visiting a Donkey Show in Leicestershire and it was love at first sight for me! At that time there were only about 50 registered Miniature Donkeys in England and it was nearly impossible to buy one. America and Canada were the best source for these wonderful little animals. I decided to go to Canada after seeing a very small draft type that had been imported the year before.
"Since then I have learned a great deal about this breed and have imported more donkeys, mainly from Texas, and a jack from Holland. Our herd has grown each year and we have been successful in the show ring. Itsy Bitsy Tomcat, one of our jacks, won every miniature class he entered in 2003 and 2004, making him Supreme Champion at the Peterborough Autumn show.
"All our donkeys are stud book registered with the Miniature Mediterranean Donkey Association and some with the Donkey Breed Society.
